Since first entering print competition in 1990, Linge has earned more print awards than any of the Scandinavian portrait and wedding photographers of the 90´s. In 1995 he became the sixth person ever to receive the Norwegian Professional Photographers Association´s (NFF) highest print honor, and in the shortest period of time. In 1994 Linge won the prestigious Kodak Nordic Photographer of the Year, NFF´s Photographer of the Year, received his Master of Photography degree from PPA and won the Scandinavian Fame Portrait Exhibition for the third time in a row. In 1995 Linge was invited to become a member of the prestigious Society of the XXV, a group of the world's leading speakers and photographers.

When Linge began print competition he was told that pictures of wedding couples were the most difficult to score well on. Taking up the challenge, Linge has now had prints of wedding couples in the PPA Loan Collection for four consecutive years.
